One thing a day

Dont you just love it when all you can do is one thing a day.  The co-worker called in sick, other co-worker is out on site for some stupid reason…  So Im holding down the fort for the 3 of us.  Which in the end means you can only get one thing done in a day.  The rest of the day is spent doing paperwork or playing fire fighter.  Nothing moved forward but one thing.  It sucks when you walk out and you really do know there was so much left to do, but you can only put so much of your life into it.

Im trying very hard and doing pretty well at it, to not have work be my life.  Also doing my best not to be on the computer 24×7.  After working hours Im not checking my work email as often as I used to do.  Also Im no longer sitting in front of a computer all day.  Sure Ive just moved from the computer to the couch, but I dont feel as bad about basicly touching a computer for 16 hours a day.  And well I gota get my money’s worth out of the big tv.  Now to buy a Xbox 360…

WOW you would never guess a small strip of plastic could do this much.  I decided to get some Breathe Right strips yesterday at the store.  I was tired of not being able to breathe at night and meaning not a good sleep.  Well I got home and put one on.  OMG I can breathe.  Its like night and day on how much easier it is to breathe.  Then…I slept the whole night though and woke up totally refreshed.  I honestly cant think of the last time I did that.  Maybe it was the fresh sheets, but I doubt it, tho they were nice.  But Im totaly sold on these things.  I wish I could wear one at work cause by lunch I cant breathe again.  Combine it with a good spray up the nose, once a night, and its a whole new world.

Some may have noticed the little side bar on the right.  Look there for Kevin’s Shared Items.  Thats coming straight out of my ‘link blog’ as Scoble calls it.  When I go though my news feeds on Google Reader I tend to share a lot of items that interest me.  So if you do want to see what Im looking at in the world of news, look to the right.  This list is dynamically generated, so it is always up to date.  Click the Read More… to see everything.

That and Im sorta getting into Twitter a tad…I may be adding a twitter update here…we will see.  For now twitter is just me…its not hard to find me on there, but for now its going to remain unlinked.

Days off

Well Im off today.  What am I going to do with this precious time?  I doubt anything at all.  As the usual, my body wakes up at 8am every day if I dont wake up earlier.  So that means Ive now been up for an hour and have done nothing with the day.  Been debating a new couch…I could use that more than a Xbox 360 but you know what…the 360 would be more fun :) .

Do think Im going to get out and ride around a bit.   Go looking for area’s to move into maybe.   I have a few places Id like to move to if I buy a house, so may go look at those areas and see if I see any for sell signs.  Thats probably the extent of my day…now to shower.

Monday’s or Friday’s?  All I know is I don’t like waking up for either.

Long weekend here.  Just got word no code patches this weekend so easy weekend of just building content.  Sad that it has come to the point where you expect to work every weekend isn’t it.  I seriously need to find a way to make money on my own.  I’m tired of living to someone else’s schedule.  Sure on your own likely means more hours.  But at this point at least I’d be my own boss and could say what those extra hours are for and when I should be doing them.
