How to end a day
April 28th, 2007Go to the gun range and cycle though some rounds. Ahhhhh what a way to relax. Shooting at ASP then head next door for some enchiladas and some Modelo.
Dad let me bring back his Springfield 1911 Black Stainless, first year made so has all the bells and whistles that they took off in later years. Ruger Mark2 Comp slab side, thats a tack driver if Ive ever held one. And also his, well my grandfathers, Ithica 20ga Featherlight pump Model 37.
I also took my SW99 and cycled though my defense ammo and picked up some new Gold Dots to keep in it. Also my almost afraid to admit I own one, HiPoint Carbine. While its not a perfect gun it sure is fun. 200 dollars for a 9mm with 16″ barrel and a red dot scope on top. Puts all 10 right where you point it. its not like the pistols its actualy ok for what it is 
Had 2 new shooters, cute girls at that too 
. So had to let them try the carbine, both LOVED it. The red dot makes that gun. Also had a cuttie friend I was showing how to control a .40s&w glock, that was tough. She shot better with my sw99 as its a thinner gun and glocks are just so hard to hold if you are a woman with small hands.
So yea…prefect way to relax, go tear up some paper. Shoulder still stinging from a full box of 20ga trying to tear the target in half as quickly as i could. At that point it was just lets let some lead fly.
