Bowlcut’s little piece of the world

Well thats it.  I am now on a fast.  It is actualy inspired by Calum.  No more eating out for me for atleast a month.  I can not eat from a resturant, that I pay for, for a month.  So my birthday will be the first time I can eat out and pay for it.  I put my budget to paper yesterday.  I then put in this months totals so far according to my bank statement.  Holy hell…I spent like 450 dollars on eating out so far this month and a little bit into last month.  Thats crazy.  So Im packing the lunch from now on.  I was starting to wonder, Ive got a raise every job hop, where the hell the money was going.  Im now making 10k more a year than what I was making 6 months ago, yet Im not seeing any differences in the bank account really.  Then again…Im eating it away it appears.  I got up, cooked lunch/dinner for the next few days last night and took it today.  That is….when you put the numbers to paper you get the “oh my god” reaction.  Yup….thats it.

I swear all I get to do at work now is doing documentation.  I have so much to do its not funny…oh yea and build 100 servers by the end of August.  I finaly did go get a gift and it wasnt an easy.  Just never know if I am getting the right thing when buying power tools.  And well every man can use more power tools cant they???  Heading up to EastTN to see dad for fathers day so Ill be the good son this weekend.  Wouldnt ya know it tho, Im going up there and having to mow the lawn.  just because he got a new mower I have to test drive it.  I did find out I will be able to get the NX here soon, do have to get an exhaust put on it soon tho.  Now back to trying to pack for the weekend.

I cant seem to buy anything anymore.  I walk into a store, and cant make up my mind between 2 or 3 things.  I normaly just grab and go, but seems like Im getting worse.  I cant spend large ammounts, but spending 20 dollars every 20mins doesnt seem to botther me.

I am also in meeting hell.  I am having like 5-6 meetings a week anymore it seems.  I have acutaly had a meeting to discuss a meeting.  Now that does suck.  I just got one scheduled for next week for 5pm till 8pm….man that blows.  With the president of the company.  One good thing is that she does like me a lot, and the meeting has so many other people in there so I can zone out….  Ok time for bed….

You know yesterday it hit me.  I was at the gym for my usual hour or so.  I got off the machines doing my cardio and decided to not hit the weights.  Figuring that an extra long time doing cardio Id skip the weights.  So I grabbed my stuff and walked out the door…. and it hit me.  I just spent an hour running in one spot in a hot gym…walk outside to a beautiful day.  So I was feeling like a dumbass.  Today, down to the park and walk around in the fresh air.  It was a lot nicer thats for sure.  I also walked/ran for a lot longer than normal as well.  So no more of that dumbass lets run in place because its all trendy to be in the gym.  And for some reason…podcasts won out over Iron Madien for a strole in the park.

Well Im such a geek.  I went and got the necessary things to expand the desk.  I now have two 19″ crt monitors.  Im really thinking of putting the 15″ lcd back on for tripple monitors.  Yes I do use all this screen real estate.  I could just see me using that lcd still yet for the chatting and mp3 player.  I definatly need more ram tho.  I may put in some orders for parts this week as this dvd-rw seems to be going south as well.  I have a few things that Im working on that I have to get working here.  I want to get a HTPC setup and running here soon.  Im setting up a seperate debian box to do some work and downloading with.  Instead of putting my fileserver on the edge and doing such things Ill just build another one.  I need to clean up this place a lot better tomorrow.  Ok now time for acting like Im going to bed…
