Ok maybe I am dead. Going like a month between posts. Well in that time Ive now moved jobs as many know. Im now working in a position that I really wanted for a long time, Linux Systems Administrator. I deal with about 150 linux based servers on a daily basis. I build 1 or 2 new ones a week and ship them out to schools, and I maintain existing installs. Its quite interesting and definatly a learning experience. Im also teaching them a lot about Nagios and my skills at Access. Its going to be great for me I do believe. I enjoy what I do, I dont mind the hours Im volenteerly putting in unlike the last place.
I did like Innertech a lot tho. Well I liked the people there that I got to work with after I did my job. The IT department was a bit crappy, but you get out on the floor and there were some good people out there. I am keeping in touch with many of them, I made some decent friends there. I hear that the place is falling apart, pretty much all the IT people are gone division wide. There is no one left with any experience in production, or that know the systems. I did offer the plant manager my services at anytime he needed them.
Think Im going up to Calum’s this weekend again to work on cars. I need to do an oil change really bad on the Altima. Then we are going to try to get the NX up to snuff for me to take home at sometime. Im just waiting for the income tax refunds to come though so I dont get strapped for money. Changing jobs is hard on the old bank account. Making lot more money now, but just not sure when the money will be in there and the such….then gota make bill payments and the such. Ok time to pack up for the weekend I think
. i still have that stuff I bought in Oak Ridge to put up someplace. I also brought home some shelves from work that were being thrown out to go in my storage area. But as of right now you can not walk though the living room without tripping over something. Dishes need to be done, desk needs to be cleaned up, laundry folded, floor vacumed, and it goes on and on.
