Nothingness

Monday, May 16th, 2005

“If you had a million dollars what would you do?”
“I would do nothing.”
“Wouldn't that get boring?”
“Nah I dont think so.”

Yup I did nothing.  First time in maybe a month or more that I havent had my entire weekend planned out.  I litterly did nothing for the weekend.  I sat here and didnt do anything and dang it it was nice.  Maybe a little guilty for not doing anything, but it wasnt bad.  I tend to have everything planned out or atleast something in mind, but every once and a while its good to sit and do nothing.  Should have done something but ok maybe not.  That really was about it.  And now on to the week.  Little road time here and there.  Then going home to see Dad and camp out with Rod.  Then we going to try doing some riding up there little pre CRAM training.  High altitutde and some mountains should give us some edge possibly.  Ok now on to some cartoons before bed im really tired.  Intervials tonight at the gym since no bike…then arm workout.  Home to cook dinner so yea…tired….

Sundays

Sunday, May 8th, 2005

For some reason I just didnt get moving today.  I did do a lot for a sunday but still yet feels like Ive sat around all day.  Watched the F1 race…stupid Ferrari cant get their act together…and Merc is like flying, Renault is suprising everyone, and Toyota is literly racing for their program.  If they dont get somewhere this year they are likely to loose funding.  Then I cleaned the apartment.  Bought a mop finaly since the water on the floor last week.  So actual mopping has happened twice now.  Not that these floors havent been cleaned, just not with a real mop.  Did the grocery shopping and still can not manage under 100 dollars a week in food.  But its the goal not to eat out at all this month so I can afford the new bike easier.  So that included enough food for all week and also lunches.  Was hopeing to get a long ride in tomorrow but looks like it may rain.  Went on a short hike saturday.  Was a pretty day so we went out and did a few miles at LBL.  Realy made me want to have my bike, that trail is a lot of fun to bike.  It is an awesome trail with tons of scenery, down by the lake and everything.  Only about 6 miles walking, was easy but definatly need some new boots sometime if I do anymore hikes.  Going to try to mention it to the temporary roommate sometime soon that Id like him out in 2 weeks.  2 months/8 weeks is getting a bit long for a helping out of someone that makes about 3 times more than I do.  Ill help someone but its almost to the point of taking advantage.  Yea he has paid me but its a tiny place and I really do enjoy my privacy.  The ability to come home and not worry about someone being here.  Not having to lock my pc, cause thats one thing that bugs me the most….people poking around my computer.  I keep stuff on here that I dont care for everyone to see thats for sure.  Lots of things that people could poke around and find.  That is if you knew what to look for and what sorta things that could be found.  Did get my new video card in, it works ok.  Still not exactly happy but I got to remove 2 cards for one.  Just that I still cant use up to date drivers kills me.  Stupid ATI.  Yea Im picky.  Oh well guess since no one is on to talk to Ill go fold laundry for the first time in forever.

Karma

Figures once you talk about something it happens.  Just last night I was talking to Rod about how my washer was going great thats why I didnt buy Mike's when he moved.  One heck of a deal for only year old washer and dryer.  They sold on Friday and carted off.  Tonight I put a load in and I hear a strange sound.  Then my feet make a splash splash sound, crap.  The rubber seal on the bottom of the tub went bad and water just poured straight through.  All this about one hour before every store closes.  So run around getting price checks cause thats all I can really do tonight.  Looks like cheapest new washer is 300 dollars for one with decent features.  One for 180 didnt even let you choose water temp/level/or anything, I do need that I think.  Costco is about 50 dollars cheaper than anywhere else so looks like Ill go there tomorrow.  Basicly going to take a half day off to go buy it, and since Im salary it wont cost me any pto now.  I could call in the whole day but nah dont need to really.  Mike going to come up and help me move it with his truck so thats all good.  Just kinda sucks.  Ok on to folding a little laundry, from last week not like I ever put up clothes.  Did get a few things cleaned today, till that crap broke and I had to run out as fast as I could to find a replacement…Meh
